InfraBooster Practitioner is the second level of EIT InfraBooster educational modules helping better understand the competitive edge of research infrastructures, design innovative infrastructure-based services, identify potential industrial partners and start industrial outreach.
InfraBooster Practitioner helps prepare marketing collateral that highlights differentiators and benefits important for their target clients, understand the needs of specific industries/companies, identify potential clients and initiate service sales processes.
Teams of 3 to 4 individuals representing public research organisations or universities that own publicly funded research infrastructures. At least one team member must have completed the EIT InfraBooster Foundation module at the time of application. The remaining team members must be enrolled in the Foundation at the time of application.
Yes, provided your team is located in an EU Member State or in a country associated with the Horizon Europe programme (listed above). Teams from other countries are not eligible.
No, participation in the InfraBooster Practitioner module is free of charge.
Yes, all team members who successfully complete the module, including assignments and mentoring activities, will receive the certificate. The Practitioner module is part of an EIT Label-accredited program.

Your team will develop a commercialisation plan for your infrastructure-based service, learn how to promote and pitch it to industry partners, engage stakeholders, identify potential clients, and receive mentoring from experts at the University of Warsaw and EIT KICs.
The programme combines self-study online mentoring, teamwork assignments, and a final pitching session. Selected teams will also participate in an in-person event.
The entire programme, including assignments and mentoring sessions, is delivered in English. Participants should be comfortable communicating, writing, and presenting in English.
Ineligible teams (e.g. lacking Foundation participation or institutional support) will not be considered. Eligible applications are reviewed based on programme goals and available places, following a evaluation process.
Teams may appeal within 3 days of receiving the result by contacting the InfraBooster coordination team at infrabooster@wz.uw.edu.pl. Appeals will be reviewed and responded to within 7 working days.
Yes. A single institution may submit multiple applications, provided that each team is composed of different individuals and describes a separate research infrastructure.
Apply as a team of 3 or 4 members, including at least one member who has already graduated from InfraBooster Foundation.
Reside and work in one of the regions covered by EIT Regional Innovation Scheme or Western Balkans: listed above.
Be employed at a HEI or public research institute which owns commercially relevant research infrastructures.
Priority will be given to teams with diverse backgrounds, including researchers and support personnel (such as technology transfer, marketing specialists, and financial or research officers).
The programme combinesself-study on the e-learning platform, teamwork assignments, online mentoring, and a final pitching session. Selected teams will also participate in an in-person event.
Members of shortlisted team applications who have not yet graduated from InfraBooster Foundation will be obliged to attend the July intake of Foundation training and graduate from the training, as a pre-condition for the teams' acceptance for InfraBooster Practitioner training. Conditionally approved might be the applications submitted by the teams not including a graduate from EIT InfraBooster Foundation, in case that all members have applied and the minimum required number will have graduated from EIT InfraBooster Foundation in July.
All accepted team members are required to attend sessions on specific days: an introductory session in July, a team session in September and the final session in November 2024.
InfraBooster Practitioner only invites applicant teams who have obtained the support of top management (dean/rector/director) confirming that: the institution owns the research infrastructure described in the application; the management supports the application and has the intention to use the research infrastructure for collaboration with industrial companies; team members will be able to attend all training modules on dates specified in the call; team members will be involved in the future sales and delivery of services for industrial companies, based on the research infrastructure.
Applicant teams must describe only one research infrastructure in one application. The same institution can submit more than one application (no upper limit), but each application should list a different team of applicants.
InfraBooster organisers also reserve the right to accept only a limited number of applicant teams. The exact number will be decided proportionally to the total number of received applications.
All workshops will be held in English, and training participants will prepare individual and team assignments in English. Therefore, good command of English is required from all participants (including the ability to engage in team discussions, prepare documents and present in English).

Aim to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to specify the strengths of RIs at their institution, forming the basis of future commercialization efforts, including by collecting and analysing relevant market insights and data,
Help participants develop marketing collateral, identify potential clients/generate leads, offer commercial services using the RIs, initiate contact with potential clients, present infrastructure-based services, and negotiate/discuss collaboration terms and pricing.
The course is delivered as synchronous online training, involving presentations, case studies, design thinking, team assignments, group discussions, Q&A and final team project assignments.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
