Where innovation meets social responsibility
Where innovation meets social responsibility
The Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations (CSRI) is part of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, one of the leading academic centres in Central Europe, combining rigorous research with practical engagement in innovation and technology management.
The Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations focuses on how innovation can be designed, implemented and scaled in ways that create both social and economic value. The Centre combines academic research with practical engagement in areas such as co-creation, sustainable design, research infrastructure, innovation policy and socially oriented entrepreneurship.
CSRI works at the intersection of management, innovation and public value. Its activities connect universities, public institutions, businesses and communities in order to develop solutions that are not only innovative, but also relevant, responsible and applicable in practice.
Co-creation and user-centred innovation
We explore and support collaborative approaches to designing products, services and innovation processes with users, consumers and communities.
Sustainable design and circular solutions
We work on innovation related to environmentally responsible product and packaging design, resource efficiency, waste reduction and the reuse of materials.
Research infrastructure and commercialisation
We support universities and public research organisations in identifying and developing the practical and market potential of research infrastructures.
Innovation policy and regional development
We analyse how innovation policy can better respond to societal challenges, regional priorities and the evolving needs of innovation ecosystems.
Support for socially driven ventures
We engage with startups and innovation actors addressing challenges in areas such as food, health, sustainability and public value creation.
CSRI works with academic, public and industry partners across Europe, contributing to projects supported by Horizon Europe or European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Its activities combine research, implementation-oriented initiatives and international collaboration aimed at strengthening innovation capacity and addressing societal needs in responsible and practical ways.
Consumer Engagement Labs explores how consumers can contribute to the development of new products and solutions through structured co-creation processes. The initiative connects research, industry practice and user insight to support more relevant and responsible innovation.
InfraBooster explores how the capabilities of research infrastructures can be translated into services and applications with practical value. The initiative supports universities and public research organisations in unlocking the commercial and societal potential of existing assets.
InterHEI focuses on strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of higher education institutions. The initiative supports the activation of research-based capabilities, co-creation with stakeholders and stronger engagement with industry and government.
