The Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations (CSRI) is part of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, one of the leading academic centres in Central Europe, combining rigorous research with practical engagement in innovation and technology management.
The Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations focuses on how innovation can be designed, implemented and scaled in ways that create both social and economic value. The Centre combines academic research with practical engagement in areas such as co-creation, sustainable design, research infrastructure, innovation policy and socially oriented entrepreneurship.
CSRI works at the intersection of management, innovation and public value. Its activities connect universities, public institutions, businesses and communities in order to develop solutions that are not only innovative, but also relevant, responsible and applicable in practice.
Co-creation and sustainable innovation
We design and support collaborative approaches to product, service and packaging innovation with users, consumers and communities, with a focus on environmental responsibility, circularity and resource efficiency.
Research infrastructure and commercialisation
We help universities and public research organisations identify, develop and unlock the practical and market potential of existing research capabilities and assets.
Innovation policy and entrepreneurial capacity
We analyse how innovation ecosystems, policy instruments and higher education institutions can better respond to societal challenges, regional priorities and the needs of socially driven ventures.
Consumer Engagement Labs explores how consumers can contribute to the development of new products and solutions through structured co-creation processes. The initiative connects research, industry practice and user insight to support more relevant and responsible innovation.
InfraBooster explores how the capabilities of research infrastructures can be translated into services and applications with practical value. The initiative supports universities and public research organisations in unlocking the commercial and societal potential of existing assets.
InterHEI focuses on strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of higher education institutions. The initiative supports the activation of research-based capabilities, co-creation with stakeholders and stronger engagement with industry and government.
